our delivery approach

Every project runs through the same sequence, whatever the sector. It exists so that accuracy is produced by the process rather than hoped for at the end.

Scope and risk

We establish the target markets and which rules apply. Language requirements differ by Member State, so a single “EU version” rarely exists.

Terminology first

The termbase is built against the recognised authorities — IATE, MedDRA, EDQM Standard Terms, IFRS — and your own glossary, and signed off before a word is translated.

Specialist translation

Your text goes to a linguist qualified in that subject field. Our core European languages are handled in house; wider EU coverage comes through vetted partners.

Revision

Where ISO 17100 applies, a second, separately qualified linguist checks the translation against the source. Where machine translation is used, full post-editing follows ISO 18587.

Quality assurance

Final checks against the termbase and against each target market’s requirements, with a certificate of accuracy where you need one.

Assets and guarantee

Your glossaries and translation memories stay maintained, so the next project starts consistent. Delivered work carries a one-year guarantee.

Two standards, two routes. Human translation follows ISO 17100, which requires revision by a second qualified linguist. Machine translation followed by full post-editing falls under ISO 18587. We tell you which one your project is on, and price it accordingly.

our quality commitment

Three commitments sit behind every project: a guarantee you can actually use, confidentiality you can verify, and content that holds up where it counts.

One-year correction promise

If a delivered text contains an error attributable to our work, we correct it — free, for twelve months.

Translation errors rarely surface on delivery. They surface when a regulator, a distributor, a notified body or the other side’s counsel reads the document, which is often months later. A correction window that closes before the document is used is worth nothing, which is why ours is measured in months rather than days.

What it applies to — and what it does not

Applies to

  • Delivered translations and revised texts
  • Mistranslations and omissions
  • Terminology inconsistencies
  • Language errors in the delivered text
  • Twelve months from the date of delivery

Does not apply to

  • New or changed source text
  • New preferences or style instructions
  • Legal or regulatory updates issued after delivery
  • Formatting outside the original scope
  • Rewriting for a different purpose

How to raise a point

Send us three things

The delivered file, the source segment in question, and a short note on what looks wrong.

We review it

Against the agreed source text and the project instructions — the same two references the translation was produced from.

You get an answer

Either a corrected file or a reasoned explanation. Where more than one rendering is defensible, we set out why we chose the one we did, judged on meaning, terminology, intended use, your instructions and target-language suitability.

What we actually do

Corrected file

Re-delivered in the original format, at no additional translation charge.

Reissued Certificate of Accuracy

If your delivery came with one, you get a fresh certificate covering the corrected text. A corrected document behind a stale certificate is still a compliance problem.

Updated terminology assets

The termbase and translation memory are corrected too, so the same error cannot reappear in your next project.

Where it stops. This is a correction promise, not an indemnity. We put the text right and we bear the cost of doing so; we do not underwrite consequential loss arising from how a document was used. Full wording: 1 Year Warranty Guarantee.

Confidentiality

Your documents, instructions and terminology are treated as confidential. We protect intellectual property and sensitive information through controlled access, encrypted storage and transfer, and binding confidentiality agreements with every linguist and partner who touches the file.

Compliance and functional equivalence

For legally, medically, technically and institutionally sensitive content, the target text has to do the same job as the source, not merely resemble it. We maintain consistent terminology and conceptual accuracy, and align with EU institutional standards where they apply.
